"Hello Again" is a song past American rock band the Cars from their fifth studio album, Heartbeat Urban center (1984). It was released on October 15, 1984, equally the album's fourth unmarried. The vocal was the fourth peak-20 entry from the album, reaching number xx on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; it too reached number eight on the Hot Dance/Disco chart and number 22 on the Top Stone Tracks nautical chart.[4] Ric Ocasek sings pb vocals on the track.[five]

"Hello Again" was described every bit "eccentric" by AllMusic critic Greg Prato, who also cited the track as a highlight from the Heartbeat Urban center anthology.[6] Donald Guarisco, also of AllMusic, wrote, "I of their strongest tracks [on Heartbeat Metropolis with experimental roots] was 'Hullo Again,' a fashionable new wave rocker with plenty of experimental touches."[2] Guarisco added that it "represents the Cars striking a unique balance between their gift for pop hooks and their dear of experimental sounds."[2]
In his review of the compilation album Greatest Hits (1985), Prato felt that "Hello Once more" should take been included on the album, stating, "why was the title track from Heartbeat Metropolis (an unsuccessful single) included instead of the 1984 Elevation 20 hit 'Hi Again'?"[7]
Music video [edit]
The music video for the song was directed by Andy Warhol and Don Munroe.[8] Warhol appeared in the video as a bartender, which was filmed at the Exist-Bop Cafe in Manhattan.[nine] Dianne Brill and John Sex of the downtown New York scene made a cameo.[ix] A so-unknown Gina Gershon besides appeared in the video. Keyboardist Greg Hawkes said, "I recall [Warhol] mainly did some of the conceptualizing and showed upwardly to be an actress. And he invited his diverse friends to be in it. Information technology was like any video shoot, merely with a more interesting bandage of characters. And you lot could always look over on the prepare and go 'Hey that's Andy Warhol.'"[ten]
The music video explored the controversial topics of sexual activity and violence (mostly the former) that were being featured in music videos at the time.
